My name Is William A. Holland III. My father served with the 335th from Nov of 44 until April of 46.he was William A. Jr. I have been told some called him "Dutchie". he was born in GA. but enlisted in TN (Carter County). I know from his discharge he served at Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe and earned his CIB amoung other awards. I was 9 when he died and he was trying to locate someone from his unit to help him with his paperwork for his Purple heart. I served in Vietnam and now know how important it must have been for him. If you knew him or know any way to find someone who did please let me know. I would like to have it for his grandchildren and maybe someday mine as well. thank you Bill Holland P.S.
