Co. I 335th Infantrty, 84th Inf. Div. WWII
Wanting to corresponde with anyone who was in Co. I, 335th Infantry, 84th Infantry Division during WWII, in Europe.
My grandfather was in this unit, and I am hoping there are still some vetrans still around that may have some information on him, and or, his unit, as well as possible photo's.
My grandfather:
Marion W. (Woodrow) Carter
Private, (from Arkansas) (May have went to Camp Claiborne, Luoisiana for Airborne / Glider Training prior to leaving for Europe)
Listed as MIA (Official Morning Report) on 24 Dec 1944, then listed as POW on, or about 26-27 Dec 1944 (I presume this information was taken by the Red Cross, and forwarded to the US ARMY).
Marion Carter was taken to STALAG 9b, Bad Orb, POW Camp until the camp was liberated sometime in 1945.
