Info about PFC B.T. Ansley
I am seeking info about PFC Ansley so
that I can get that info to his daughters.
They know little about his military back-
ground because he did not say much about it. He landed on UTAH Beach, on
D-Day, was wounded near a church in
St. Mre-Eglise on June 14, '44. He was wounded by a mortar round when his
unit was retreating from that area. I would like some information on him. He
was assigned to a communication unit. He was hit when he was stringing wire.
I like to know what unit he was assigned
to. He was attached to 2nd Bn. Hdq. Co.,
300th Inf. at Fort Benning, Ga. between
Dec. 1943 to Feb. 1944. Then he was
attached to 2nd Bn. Hdq. Co. 358 Inf.
at Fort Dix, NJ in March, 1944. He returned to the States on 16 July, 1944.
If any one knows information, please let
me know. Thanks.
